Yes slow playing is one method of playing, but
how much do you think he would have paid you off at the end?
Especially with a T or a K giving a full house?
Plus the possibility of a flush did not come til the turn,
so you are saying you were slow playing your two pair ?
You have to bet at the flop to see where you are at.
To see if you are up against trip tens.
If he just calls, then yes check the turn and
get into it on the river.
Not to mention, this is not a bad beat by the definition that has been posted here many times. He was ahead when all the money went in.
Yes I agree it really sucks, but it could have been avoided.
