Me too, but that's only one side of it. Remember, in order to take the Add On, you need to still be alive when it is offered. So, if you get your 3000 chips in with AA and lose, *poof*, your tourney is over. If you saved yourself that rebuy as a safety net, then no worries.

I think it really depends on what most of your table is doing, but I'd lean towards waiting, I think. You can always take it later (right?), but once you take it, you can't give it back.

I am making a big assumption here, that you can take this particular rebuy whenever you want. If that is untrue, and you still need to be below your starting chip stack, then I think I'd just take it right away, to make sure I got it...
