More logic? What does serving in the military have to do with your "right" to smoke in enclosed public places? Furthermore, what does it have to do with political knowledge?
Hate to tell you, but some people enlist in the military based on the sole reason that they are either too dumb or too lazy or some combination of the two, to do anything productive in the "real" world.
I'm not saying this is true for everyone, obviously, but being in the military doesn't exactly require above average intelligence.
Finally, the anti-smoking laws wouldn't have passed if they weren't favored by the majority. That's how gubment works.
