I'm no big city lawyer, but I'd also be quite surprised if people were actually able to patent ideas about how to play card games. I mean, that just doesn't make much sense to me.... But maybe it's because I don't understand this idea, since we still don't know what it is.

Hypothetically, say I came up with the idea that every time you found a 2 in your hand, you could post another BB and get a third card. I mean, can I patent that idea and then charge people to use it? I don't think so.

Better yet.... Royal Hold'Em (or whatever it's called on UB). Did someone patent that game? Does that mean I'm not allowed to play it in my house or Party can't set up their own version of it? I highly, highly doubt it.

What I'm really interested in in seeing what site you are dealing with, as most ignore the thousands of variations of poker games that are out there and only focus on the popular versions.
