1. I disagree. I think that hand has plenty of showdown potential and risking being check raised is a terrible idea. Remember, this is a tourney, not a cash game. If you think he value bet with a 9 was a must, then you must think me check/calling with my full house was even worse, yes?
2. I had a pair of 5s and a big draw (not "just a pair") but I see what you are saying. I don't hate my flop call though... what I hate is my turn call.
3. Agreed. It was very badly played. But it's possible I could get him off a better hand here - quite a few of them in fact, including a hand like he was holding! He instacalled, but there are plenty of people who would fold there. Was it worth the risk though? Probably not. It was a clear error, and I'll be the first to acknowledge that. But the fact remains, that was a very unlucky flop for me.
