TP has a point here, but my thinking is that if I am playing properly rolled, there is about 80% of my bankroll that is dormant and just sitting there waiting on a rainy day. I play fairly low volume, so if I can stake out my whole bankroll by investing in +EV players that play higher volume than I do. If I only play off of stakes from other players at 40-50% and I stake out my whole bankroll in +EV players that play higher volume than I do, then I am generally better off than just investing in myself.
If I can invest all my money in players that are lower risk than I am or with higher overall EV, then my money is better off in their hands than playing on my own money. If I can play on other's money then that still keeps me in action even if it is at 40-50% profit.
