My congressman voted against this bill the other day, despite me calling and telling him to vote for it. Can you believe that? Freaking bastard.

I sent him a nasty email (ty PPA for typing 95% of it for me and allowing me to just add a word here and there) tonight:

Dear Representative Posey,

On July 28, 2010, you voted NO on H.R. 2267, the Internet Gambling
Regulation, Consumer Protection, and Enforcement Act which passed by a
bipartisan vote of 41-22 in the House Financial Service Committee. With
this vote, it became apparent to me that you are not interested in
protecting my freedoms, or protecting children, problem gamblers and
adults from un-regulated Internet gaming. Your vote yesterday demonstrated
a complete lack of understanding and revealed just how out of touch you
are with your electorate.

As a voter, constituent and a poker player, I am very disappointed with
your decision to vote against supporting this common-sense legislation,
and I urge you to reconsider your position as it relates to protecting
consumers, children and families.

Sincerely,
TP
