It was brilliant. The funny thing is, when Durr faked the beginning of the call (angle-shoot), Phil instantly saw this and faked the beginning of turning his hand over. THAT moment was the first time I've been impressed with anything Phil has done all week.
So Durr sees that and changes his mind. He somehow KNEW his bottom pair was good
, but that slight misread in the end cause him to lay it down.
Of course, Phil is on top of the world now and from the preview's of tonight's episode will continue to be for a while. But let me tell you, if durr called there, Phil goes absolutely apeshit insane. I can see him storming off the set and not even coming back. If he did play any more, he'd lose every dollar he put on the table.
Bummer.
