TP's probably still asleep, as I'm sure the celebration lasted into the wee hours of the morning.
In case you didn't check the railbird section, TP won a $215 satellite last night and is officially qualified for the: 2006 WSOP Main Event! I know many of us have congratulated him in the original thread, but this shit deserves some front-page billing. Congratulations again!!!!

As for selling pieces of myself, we'll see. I may or I may not. If I do, it won't be because I want the money as much as it would be because I'd love to score a big payday for some of the people who have enough faith in me to pony up $100 or $200 or whatever it is for a share.
BTW... here is the link to last night's thread, in case anyone (now or in the future) wants to read through how it went. I often find it inspiring when someone is the short stack with 35+ players left and manages to come back and win the whole tourney. I was also pretty much card dead for the first two hours. The point is........ never give up. A chip and a chair, baby. |

I'm definitely taking a shot (a few shots) too. I've played in one satty lifetime and took that down (WCOOP).
Either way, if I get a job in LV, I will have been living there for a short time when the WSOP is going on. Let's plan a date for a little "TalkingPoker mixer" at my place. SWA, Bring the bitcheses.

You know I'm in for the little mixer at Chez Shabi. I hadn't given it much thought, but now that I'm in the Main Event (I still can't believe it), I'm starting to..... and I think I may go out for the very beginning of the series too. Check the schedule:
I'll definitely be there from July 27 (Media Tourney) - August 10 (Final Table). Holy crap that's a long time! They have FOUR Day 1s scheduled right now! Anyway, depending on how far I make it, I may play in one of two of the add-on tourneys too. I could go out a couple of days early and play in the $1500 event as a warmup, but I think I'll be getting plenty of poker in the next week (hopefully), so it may be better to rest up. Instead, what I am thinking is that I could go out TWICE... making my first trip maybe for the June 27th-June 30th tourneys. That's a $1500 NLHE, a $1500 PLHE, a $1500 LHE, and a $2500 6 max NLHE. I won't play in all of those, but I'd like to do the first one (Event #2 - the one Zybomb is going to win) and the 6 max one... If I cash nicely in the first event, I could play the ones in between as well, and if I cash in either of those or the 6 max, hell, maybe I'll make a month and a half out of it and go for the Toyota Points Leaderboard thing Assuming I don't stay for the duration, I could fly home and have nearly a month off before I need to be back for the Main Event.Just fantacizing now.... but it's fun. Zybomb, 2Tone - when you guys gonna be there? Do you know yet? |
