Does the option to edit posts disappear after a while? I went to edit my last post in the "Decisions" thread, but all that I see is the quote button.

Yes... The reason for this is so people can't go back and change/delete old posts and mess up the flow of the forum.
Thread titles can be edited for 5 minutes. Posts can be edited for 12 hours. That should be MORE THAN ENOUGH time to get one's thoughts straight, remove typos, etc. I was actually thinking of reducing that number quite a bit. |

Oh okay. I was just going to try and avoid an unecessary post and link to the otehr thread.

Instead, you've got two unnecessary posts in here and you will STILL need to make another to link to the other thread.
![]() Another good reason to limit editing time.... people miss less new info. Like in the thread we are talking about, I see you added a couple of pics hours after the fact. If not one had ever replied to that thread though (or even if they had but you hadn't obviously added pics - maybe it was just one new paragraph at the bottom), I would have never seen it, because I would have skipped straight to the new replies... |
