Posts Per Page...

I think this is our first thread to reach 2 pages:

I currently have the Page limit set at 25. Is this too many? Too few? How many posts per page would you guys like to see?

My$.2 - I thing 25 per page may be too long. Maybe more like 15 per page would look better. Otherwise, really enjoying this forum. Thanks.

I like 25 PPP, I hate having to click the page link. It also makes it a pain in the ass if a thread becomes like 20 pages long and there are 15 PPP while 25 PPP would make the thread only 12 pages long and thus making it easier to scroll through.

Finding the right balance between scrolling and clicking.

I'm sure that thread will be the first of many -- we seem have to have an active and vocal community.

25 is perfect, don't want things to turn out like covers.com where there is just one long page. it takes minutes to scroll down a 500+ post thread.

i actually like less (don't ask me why) but the forum i used to post on the most had 15, and i kinda liked it that way. maybe i'm just used to it.

25 PPP is good. It gets annoying when forums have 15 or 20. 5 extra posts can make a big difference.

I wouldn't mind it being 30.

I'm not going to lower it. 20 would be the absolute minimum, but I was actually thinking about going as high as 50. Personally, having a fast connection, I hate going from page to page, and I don't mind scrolling at all...

I guess we'll leave it at 25 for now.

i agree completely with you, talking poker. with a cable modem, i would rather just scroll through a hundred posts, instead of going from page to page.

is there a way to set thatup as a personal preference for each user? not sure if that is feasible, but it might solve a lot of problems.

just as an aside, and hopefully you dont mind me bringing up a different poker forum, it annoys me how i have to go navigate through 2+2. having to change from threaded to flat, and then selecting show all always annoys me for some reason.

I think people can set their personal preferences for most things here (not sure about ppp), but I'd like the defaults to be good, so the average user doesn't have to change anything.
