PartyPoker Depositing via Prepaid Card
I just recently opened up a Party Poker account. Ultimately, I will end up using NetTeller like most people; however, I was wondering if anybody has used the "Cash Connection Link" prepaid calling card to make a deposit.
The idea seems great, go to a local store (they claim there are a few in my neighborhood), buy a card for $100+ using cold hard cash, and use the pin number to instantly transfer the money. Like I said, sound great... but has anyone used this option?? |

Not a bad option!!!
Wow! I tried it today! I went to a jewelry store in my neighborhood, and bought a $150 "card". Actually, it's just a receipt with a pin number. At first the guy didn't know what I was talking about, but I was persistant, and he eventually looked at his computer and found the option for "Cash Connection Link". I had a choice between $50, 100, 150, or 250. There was a $9.95 service fee regardless of which denomination I wanted.
I planned on buying a $200 card, but I settled for the 150. He gave me my receipt and asked me what it was for. I really couldn't care less, and he had no clue who I was, so I told him exactly what it was for. I put 8 $20 bill on the counter, and then I went home. I logged into Party Poker, entered in the PIN, and instantly had $150 in my account. Nice transaction! Cheap too considering it was fairly instant, and completely anonymous. I think the $250 works out to like 3.9% fee. The $150 card is 6.25%. |

There's a link to an interenet phone card on the deposit sight for party, and I think the fee is only $3. You can use your credit card, even if it doesn't accpet gambling restricted cards. It used to be free a few year ago when i used it but not now. But a basically instant transfer for $3 isn't that bad if you don't want to do netteller.
