I got an explanation from my affiliate and I see what happened. Doesn't mean it's not fucked up though.

I got an email a couple days ago from Empire telling me they gave me a free $10. Wow, a big bet. Anyway: I disregard and continue doing my thing until last night. I check my affiliate webpage to see my up to date rakeback totals for the month and I noticed I'm at -$3 rakeback for the month of Empire. My affiliate actually deducted $3 from my rakeback account! It's $3, I know, but there's principle involved. So, I email them and ask how the hell I could have a negative balance. "When your bonuses are greater than your total play, you get negative MGR." So, by Empire "giving" me a free $10 that I was never going to use, they've actually taken $3 out of my pocket. When I asked what I need to do to keep this from happening (i.e. close the acocunt) they replied with, "We cannot change the way Empire reports their #s to us." Confusing, huh?

My general Empire links from this forum literally cost me money month after month after month, because of the bonus-only people playing under them. It's no big deal or anything. Just saying I definitely do understand. |
