This post may go in several directions, but any and all opinions are solicited.
For the sake of argument let's say that in every scenario you are in the second hour of an on-line game with just above an average stack. If it folds to you on the button, do you steal EVERY time in that spot? Here's the math in my mind, the blinds are 100/200 and you raise to 600 in the hi-jack seat and are sucessful twice and the third time you get played back at for an all-in raise adn have to fold, you are now even in the process for three orbits. What's a decent strategy here? You are SB or BB and the guy on the button is stealing EVERY time in that spot or one off the button, without fail, your getting dealt rags. Consider you and him have about the same stack which is just above the tourney average. At what point do you push with any two cards or what cards do you push with? I was in a spot in a 5 table game and we were down to two tables when I got moved to a seat where a guy was doing exactly that. After 4 orbits I told him one more time and we would race for it, well as it happened he didn't get the chance again before we got moved to the final table. As luck would have it, about 3 hands in to the final table I was BB and he was SB and it folded around to him, at this point I have about 5000 chips and he has 3500 or so and sure enough he moves in from the SB with the blinds 300/600 I think. I have Q6 and decide to roll the dice and call because I had enough, naturally he has AK. Is there any way to put him on a hand there? I know Q6 is trash, should I let that one go given the chip counts and wait for a better spot? What if a better spot doesn't come? Do I keep folding to this nonsense? Well the flop came AK7 BUT I catch running Q's to send him to the rail and the chat box started flying. Yes I know it was a horrible play and honestly if he doesn't steal EVERY time around then I lay that down without hesitation, so I guess all that agression ended up costing him, sorta. Whats the best advice onnot only dealing with a super thief, but stealing on you own?
