Yeah, this all sucks. I'm in the process of cashing out all my poker money right now, by the way. I don't really have time to play right now, haven't played in a while, was in a downswing anyway, yada yada. Stars sent me a check, one from Full Tilt's on the way. My only holdup right now is the $800-ish in Neteller. Maybe I'll see it someday. It's not necessarily that I got into panic mode with this whole thing, but I might as well get my hands on what I can, especially if I'm not gonna be playing any time soon.

Level of confidence that I'll actually see all the money? Probably 80%. We'll see.

This is no good. Even if you file for an extension you will have to estimate your tax liability and stroke a check to Uncle by April 17 (2 extra days this year due to the 15th falling on a weekend and 16th being Emancipation day in DC).

Please note: I'm not a auditor, I just listen to them bitch every day. YMMV.

Of course you still have to file an estimate, but he's not "screwed" if he has to wait 90 days to pay. He'll just owe some interest. Maybe we just have different threshholds for what constitutes "screwed."
