This is no good. Even if you file for an extension you will have to estimate your tax liability and stroke a check to Uncle by April 17 (2 extra days this year due to the 15th falling on a weekend and 16th being Emancipation day in DC).
Please note: I'm not a auditor, I just listen to them bitch every day. YMMV. |

Of course you still have to file an estimate, but he's not "screwed" if he has to wait 90 days to pay. He'll just owe some interest. Maybe we just have different threshholds for what constitutes "screwed."
