This has always been here and it's the way it works. I don't really have the ability to modify this, I don't think.

If I remember correctly, you should be able edit using your usergroup. (Add new usergroup?)

Uh... I don't think so. I'm not sure though.

I don't really see the need for this anyway, honestly. In the 3 years this forum has been around, not once have I ever wanted to see a list of the most recent threads that someone has started. And if I did for some reason, I would just glance through their latest posts, as described above.

I think you misunderstood.

I don't want to see a list of other member's recent threads but my own. It's setup real nice at this other forum I am at, thought I would say something.

When User CP is clicked, it shows your own most recent threads and posts. Much easier to click on User CP, then to search for my own thread through the dozens of others created in between.
