I may give those a shot and just change the colors to be a little less blinding. I prefer when they have some indication of what suit they are supposed to be though.
I also like the look of the PSThemes ones, but haven't played with them yet. |

although they look bright and nasty here, I find against a black table mod they actually cause the least amount of eye strain of any cards I have used. It took me a while to get used to not knowing the suit (I guess the red ones are hearts but I don't give it any thought anymore) but I want the value of the card to be as large as possible and as easily discernable as possible (A-K) and the suit to be as obvious as possible (obnoxious color) and logically I had to conceded that these cards satisfied those criteria best. Now I hate using any other cards as I waste time figure out what I got. With these it is just so obvious to me.

Have you seen the PSThremes ones? I have to think it would be obvious with those too - the only real difference is the suit shape in the background...

yeah, I tried those out and didn't like them. The suit in the background just made it busy and increased eye strain with changes in color and pattern on the card. Keep in mind that eye strain is a big deal for me as I usually am playing when I am tired as shit so I try to go as easy on my eyes as possible.
Who knew I was such a fussy bitch? |

OK, I'm using these now - This is the PSThemes layout tweaked to offer either a bright yellow deck (I really like this), or the oh-so-festive TP.com deck.
Let me grab a couple of screenshots - one with PAHud stats on with the yellow deck and another with PAHud stats off and the TP.com deck. Sweeeeeeeeet. The screenshots are the actual size of the table I'm using - FTS Medium. You can grab everything you need for this layout, including my PAHud 6 max layout, here: To use these, just dump all the .png files into your c:/Program Files/Full Tilt Poker/Graphics/Table/Elements folder and then Import the .pah file into your PAHud program. I'd recommend first making a backup of the files you are about to be replacing in the Elements folder - or better yet, the entire folder, just to be safe. I know - I'm awesome. |
