I should have said I'm happy for him to also call the shove since we know we're ahead and there's a good chance one of them is calling a shove. What about those times we flat call and a brink hits the turn and villain shuts down? I don't know that a flat call gets the max value you're focused on BL.
In any event, there is something to be said for small ball in tourney poker... but I get your point about maximizing value, even though you seem to have difficulty making a point without being a sarcastic little twit.

Just saying we ran into the one hand that is going to call a shove. All other hands that lead here, like a weak pair trying to "find out where it is", isn't going to put much more money into the pot at least on the flop. Plus, there is a player behind us so hopefully we'll try the action that will least discourage action from him.
