Obviously, this was intentional on your friend's part, but it reminds me of that (unintentional) part in Swingers where Mike sat down at the blackjack table, threw down $200 confidently and then sat there, also stonefaced, as the dealer spread out his ten $20s and handed him back two black chips with a "What the hell are you doing here?" look.

... You're a big winner. I'm gonna ask you a simple question and I want you to listen to me: who's the big winner here tonight at the casino? Huh? Mikey, that's who. Mikey's the big winner. Mikey wins. ...

lol i was playing in a live charity tourney last night with about 75 people and two people at my table were the only 2 in on this particular hand, and the flop came KKx..... one guy bets 10, and then the other guy says "Ok i'm all in" (about 100 chips), then the guy who bet 10 (who did have a K), asks how many chips the other guy has.... then the guy who said all in tries to change his mind and says he folds..... lol it was also a very funny moment when he realized his bluff wasnt going to work.

That's freaking hilarious, badblood. Props to your friend. If only you could have gotten a picture of him sitting there with the $60 spread in front of him.

As for the Swingers reference, it was $100 they bought in for, (at a $100 BJ table), remember? Then they were dealt 11 and HAD to double down. They were sifting through their wallets trying to come up with another $100, finally got it on the table, and the dealer beat them, of course.

I loved later on when Mike was calling Vince Vaughn's character "Double Down" in front of those waitress chicks they were trying to score.

That's such a great movie.

No. He bought in for $300, but accidentally sat at the $100/per hand table, because that's where the pretty girls in the red dresses were. The dealer gave him 3 black chips... He placed $100, got dealt 11, and *had* to double down. He did and lost.

Then, they were at the cheaper tables w/ the remaining $100.

Bang.
