Are you just making up those numbers up? Please, learn some basic Omaha Hi/Lo principles before playing again.
EDIT: OK, you are just talking about the hi portion of the pot, but this is fairly stupid since you are playing a split pot game. |

No, I am not making those numbers up, straight from the calculator at CardPlayer.com, which I think would be accurate.

When playing omaha 8, you don't think about the overall percentage you are going to win either side. You think about the overall equity you have in the hand. At the cardplayer thing, the last option with the "EE" tells you what is important about the hand, the overall equity you have in the hand (and also where you get the 54-46 favorite).

OK, thanks. Right after busting out of a tourney ( literally like 4 hands earlier) with AA vs KK then to get nut full VS quads still stings, reguardless of the odds.
You are right though, I was just looking at my half (high) of the pot, mistake, yes, tough beat, for sure.

Use a real calculator:
I haven't tested out the O8 stuff much - what does it say? |

It says Nut full losing to quads sucks bad, or at least it should.

Flop:
73/27 for the high hand 5/55 for the low, I am assuming the missing percentage is if no low at all hits After the turn: 80/20 for the high 7.5/37.5 for low Still.......

AA is not nearly as sexy in Omaha as they are in Hold em, pot bet is not uncommon though. This guy would fire at every pot and fold to agression, I kinda wanted to keep him in it, though a case could be made for betting the low draw out, with the A on the board I didn't think he had a low draw.
Careful what you ask for I guess.

From my limited knowledge of Omaha 8, the flop should have been potted. The turn though should not have. All you have is a high with no possibility for the low. If you pot on the turn, expect the other player to have a lock for the low with a redraw for a high to scoop. Not a good situation to get money in there.
BTW, AA7T single suited is garbage. The only flop you can hope for is one with an ace, but then you are regularly playing for 1/2 the pot if you do hit your set. I would muck that junk preflop. |
