Between Boobie, sjay, and JD, August was a pretty good month for some of the high rollers around here. It is inspiring to see such numbers. But the other low rollers need not be intimidated, goals are for everyone at all levels.

1. 6k distraction free, focused hands at $25NL and $50NL.
2. Work on ≥ level 2 thinking while playing.
3. No matter how I am running (or others) focus on decisions not results. (When not playing a lot of hands, I find this challenging.)
4. Finish reading Theory and Practice

These are great goals.

I haven't come up with mine yet, but my #1 goal will be to play more than I played last month! I hardly played any cash games... I'd like to earn 10k points at Full Tilt so I can get in their Aussie 7 seat freeroll in October, but I think I might see about setting up a Rake Back account there first. I have lots of points to spend from this account before I do though...

I'd like to pocket $1,500 profit this month (hmm, make that $2,500 if the Steelers win by 5 points )

worst month of poker i have ever played, results-wise.

1). Got in around 8K hands, 3.5K came when the kids were napping, and so were ‘distraction free’. The rest came late night, usually holding my little guy as this month he was either sick, teething, and/or spoiled. Whatever, the end result is that the little bastard didn’t sleep for shit.

2). I tried this like a motherfucker, but a typical HH looks something like this:
Melioris- AA
retarded monkey playing $25 or $50 NL 6-max -97o

Melioris makes huge overbet preflop. Retarded monkey calls. Flop comes A 8 2 rainbow.

Level 1 thinking –TOP SET!!!
Level 2 thinking- opponent is a retarded monkey, so his range is xx, as long as x is less than a ten. If one or more cards is a face/ace, retarded monkey pushes.
Level 3 thinking- since I just typed in I HAVE TOP SET and I bet the pot, he should think I have the top set.
Retarded monkey call, turn come 5. Repeat thinking above, except I shove to be called.
River comes 6.

Retard monkey types in chat “I love it when noobs overplay AA”

Reload and repeat.
3). This is probably the one goal I accomplished, as I am pretty immune to results these days.

4). Didn’t finish it yet, I am working my way through the last section.
