Absolutely. I was mentioning it on RGP for the first few days, but so many people signed up and posted so much so fast, I thought I better cut back for a while

There's also currently a problem with some people getting the registration confirmation emails... I've been trying to get that resolved too.

But sure, you can do whatever you like. I'll ask that you don't spam it annoyingly, but if you like it here and want to tell other people about it, go for it.

this happened to me when i first signed up, i didn't get my confirmation for about a week, so people probably just haven't waited long enough for their confirmations to send.

Default I like it already

After I learn my way around, I will hopefully be reading and posting. I will be putting up a link to talking poker on my web site this weekend. Very interesting concept.

You say here that you can deposit the $25 into an Empire account...
Is the min deposit there $25? And if so why is it different from partypoker, if both are pretty much the same thing?

I never understood this relationship. Are they the same company, but two different skins? Or are they run entirely differently, but using the same database of players?

I can answer some of your questions and only speculate on the others:

1. Yes, the minimum transfer amount on Empire is $25 - On Party it is $50.
2. No, they are not the same company.
3. Yes, they are different skins, pointing to the exact same real money tables (but with different multiple table tourneys).

Judging from things, I believe I've attracted two new members by linking to this site from mine.

Hello TP.

I joined yesterday and I can honestly say I didnt join because of your bonus sceme, I didnt even know about it.
I joined because I like poker and play every day, so to break my time up I needed a site like this were I can talk to other players, thus am not playing all the time but still in a poker community.

Anyway great Forum and good Luck.

Jim.

This is now my 450th post. I can honestly say that this site kicks ass, there are many characters on it and I enjoy trading strategies and thoughts with all of you.

That being said, I have to admit that when I first joined this site, I was thinking "Hey, easy way to make a couple of bucks on top of doing little at work". I thought that maybe a couple of 2 bit sentences here and there would qualify as a post and I'd be at 1000 in no time.

However, being on this site for about 4-5 weeks now, and having posted so much, I can now say that most of my posts have been very well thought out and not quick little one-liners for the old post metre. Whether it be talking about stupid US gambling tax policies (sorry for the low blow guys), or the Red Sox (Pedro met with Steinbrenner on Tuesday, for those of you wondering), or even, dare I say it, POKER (discussion that no longer occurs on rec.gambling.POKER).

One more thing I can say to everyone is that if TP is giving you guys money to post, pay him back and use his links. He is still going to be less thn breaking even when you use them, but using them none-the-less will offset the costs of him bringing us this wonderful site. If I make a 1000 posts before he stops paying out, yippee, if not, who cares, I enjoy message boards and will continue to post on whatever I want in the future.

Phew, now that my rant is over, TP, check pms.

Thanks to the long lost brothers (jimmyM and GeoffM) for their kind words and for supporting this site!

You'll have your cash today, Geoff.

Wouldn't we be more like brothers from parallel universes, seeing as how he said he was joining for the chat and I said I had initially joined for the $$$?

Thanks, TP, and check your PMs. Give me an answer 'cause I am breaking my month long absence from online poker this weekend. I took a month off as I grew increasingly bored, despite making a decent profit.

There's plenty of the crap here too, but it's all nicely isolated in the SPAM section, keeping the poker sections nice and clean and available for Talking Poker!

Welcome to TPF. Enjoy your stay.

I'd have known about this sooner, cept' I got tired of RPG a long time ago. I go back to see if it's gotten any better, so I saw the link.

Looks good as far as I'm concerned.
