Default Fuck you, poker...

Seriously... fuck you.

I'm down about $5000 in the past 24 hours. This is BY FAR my worst run ever ever ever. Funny thing is, through MOST of it, I've been playing well. Certainly I've made some mistakes, including about three costly ones (that's WAY too many), but the sick run of bad luck I have taken is lik nothing I've ever seen. No matter how good I get my money in, I lose. Wait - you have 2 outs with one card left to come - NO PROBLEM! Scoop the $1300 pot!

It's actually disgusting.

I'm down $800 with KK, $700 with AQ, 900 total with JJ and TT combined, $450 with AK and almost $450 more with 99, over $600 more with 77 and QQ combined. Oh yeah, that's the stuff.

Somehow AA is a $200+ winner for me (go me!!!) and 33 is my biggest winner at nearly $500.

Again, this is BY FAR the worst run I've ever seen. I was running great, but this has made up for that and then some and then some and then some. My overall luck for the month is definitely WAY down, so it's a freaking miracle I'm still up for the month.

I'm so annoyed though, I'm seriously tempted to not play for a while.

/End Venting.

Jesus, that’s a lot of red with premium hands. You’ve talked before about the benefit of taking breaks now and then. Depending on where your head is at, now might not be a bad time.

And of course I don’t need to tell you that good players get sucked out on 10x more often than they suck out. That’s the price of playing premium hands rather than crap. But in the long run, blah, blah, blah.

Hope it turns around. Failing that, you and Bdawg could compete for the "best player with the worst luck" trophy.

No we couldn't. He'd win. Or at the very least, he'd make a much better case for himself than I would. I mean, who else can lose 15 coinflips in a row?

I stopped earlier today because I was afraid it was going to start affecting my play (I honestly don't think it had yet, but I was feeling enough rage to go ballistic on my punching bag after I quit, so it could have been). I don't know that I NEED a break or not... I may take the weekend off anyway.

The good news here is I honestly believe that's about as bad as it gets (or close to it), and I definitely think that despite running good earlier this month (very few suckouts against me - like 10% as many as these last two days), my overall "luck" for the month is still below average. Given that and the fact that I ma still somehow up for the month, and that's promising. In the long run.

Of course, my BB/100 for 3/6 NL has dropped from a ridiculously high 37 or so to what I hope ends up being a low 3.5... but still - green is green.
