Default Post raw hand histories here - help me out

Hi gang,

So I've been hard at work on a new version of the converter for what seems like forever now. Lately I've been back at it pretty good - I've turned a corner with a few of the problems I was having and I'm getting ready for some testing.

I need some raw HHF's where something interesting happens. What I mean by that is not what you'd post for review, but rather things like multi-way pots, pots where maybe someone stood up in the middle of the hand or was disconnected or something, capped pots, pots with chat - just interesting stuff. And if anyone can find a hand where someone is all-in by the blind/ante that would be cool.

You can post from any site you want - the more histories I get from a particular site the greater the chance that site will be supported when I release the new beast.

post away!

Sweet. Glad to hear you are back on this.

There should be a number of "interesting" raw hands in the old test threads... or at least ones where the converter got goofed up on them for whatever reason. Seems like a great place to start to me

I have been going through that, but I wanted to be more thorough this time around. I'd also like to cover more sites and exports from holdem manager and pokertracker as well.

I think I may also be able to extend it to cover omaha as well, but that's later...

I think FT works fine - I haven't tried everything, but these work along with the others from the previous bugs thread. I'll get the parser for PS going next. If you want another site (or source if you need PT or holdem manager) post away and I'll add them...

I've added a few features, the most notable are the spoiler results checkbox and the highlight button - a lot of stuff on the backend is better, but mostly that just means it won't fuck up so much.

edit: this isn't released yet BTW - I'm still running some hands through it. It also only does FT right now.

Looking forward to this. Thanks for all your work on it.

One request I have: When we use images for the suits, I know we use the BB code for vbulletin. ie, {:}h{:} (minus the {}) =

Can we change that to use an image tag with the actual location of the images:

[{IMG}]http://www.talkingpoker.com/forum/images/smilies/heart.gif[{/IMG}]
(again, minus the {})

That way, when cutting and pasting into a different forum, the images would still show up properly, right?

I'm not sure that would work as it still requires the IMG tag, which is not necessarily going to work in other forums and the html img tag won't work in here...

I do have a text-only option and I could put the html img tag in there, but that may not work in other forums either.

Alternatively if someone wants to post it to another forum, it should be pretty easy for me to add the correct tags for that forum and use that as an option on the converter form. You would just select the Bob's poker forum instead of the text only checkbox.

I figured it would work for any other vbulletin forums, at least, but your idea may be even better.

Let's try it with PTP and 2p2, and then we can take requests from there. Sound cool?

No problem - any idea what their codes are?

edit: I took a look at ptp - no idea what's up there, it looks like non-converted hands just get full-size card images. Have you ever posted a hand there?

I don't know what you mean about the card images. I've posted unconverted hands there before, and I think I used the "text only" option on the converter to post one once.

It's vbulletin though, so the code should be exactly the same as it would be here. Just point to the full URL of our images (see above) instead of the relative references for them (since they don't have smilies) and we're all set, right?

I just tested that and it works - I'll ship you a new version with ptp support (it only takes me a few minutes to add that).

edit: on the way via email...
