Default WSOP main event week 2

Love Mike The Mouths blow up -- usint he F word three more times after being penalized and then telling them to give him a 10 hour break

Phil Helmouths blow up with the guy that moved in with KJs was hilarious. "These are the worst players Ive ever seen, this is supposed to be the WSOP"

Overall some poor play I noticed...the call of a reraise with A10 off suit, then calling an all in with it? Come on.....

Fantastic laydown by Phil on the AK hand where he was up against aces....and his comment was true "how many people in the world don't go broke there" I can say not too many IMO...then at the same time INSTA calling the other time he had AK when he was up against KJ..... great overall reads.

ya phils annoying but man he really is good - if that old man with AK woulda been beting the flop i think he woulda made a killing on that hand rather than waiting for the Q that scared Phil- Amazing laydown by him tho

Can anyone explain the constant checking in the dark by Philly boy?

im not sure if he is trying to induce bluffs on the flop by checking in the dark, but i dont agree with his strategy at all. i dont think that the value gained by inducing bluffs is worth the potential disaster of giving free cards. i guess he can make a good laydown and get away from a hand if he thinks that the free card helped his opponent, but i wouldnt want to approach hands looking for a good place to make a laydown.

the guy sure is a professional jackass, though not as bad as the british "comedian" who just screamed all night long.

I don't know if you guys remember my updates (and I don't even remember if I typed this), but that's the guy (the screamer) who I saw get a warning for.... smelling too badly. He was told to go take a shower.

No lie.

I almost NEVER check in the dark, ever ever ever. I hate it. One of my good friends who I play with at least once a week, played in the opening event of the wsop this year. They were 11 handed, and when anyone would get eliminated, they would simply fill that spot with an alternate. Seems crazy to me.
Anyway, he raised from mp w/ AJ, and got called by the button. He checked in the dark. Flop JJ5!! Button checked, turn 7, bet, raise allin, call. Button shows 77 and my buddy is out. Just like that. Of course he got unlucky, burned by a 2 outer etc. etc. My only question is that he says he has no reservations about his dark check, because he would have checked anyway. Just wonder what you all thought about being in ep after the flop and how/why/when to check/dark check/ checkraise etc....

Maybe this should be in a different thread, TP move if need be.

I dont mind checking in the dark if I am first to act and I am the CALLER of a PFR. If I am the PFRer and I check in the dark, that is retarded.

The reason I dont mind it if I am the caller, is 9 out of 10 times I am going to check the flop anyway, because I'll be expecting a bet. Id only lead out if the flop seemed extremely dangerous and I had a nice piece of it, or occassionally as a bluff to keep my opponents on their toes.
