That stings.... I'm surprised you kept raising on the river though, after it was pretty clear you were beat. Not that it makes much difference, but I would have saved $20 on the river. Well, $14, I guess, since you were playing $5/$10 with only $84 sitting in front of you for some reason (tsk, tsk, tsk)...

Yeah I was down to 84, had no cards before this hand.
Yeah when he reraised on the river I figured he had 99,
but figured WTH.

Hmmm.... I'm not so sure figuring WTH is +EV... you may want to reconsider that in the future.

Good read though, if you really put him on exactly 99.

Sure the read on the river was 99, if he had AA he would have reraised the turn, which he did not. Cause if he had AA he also had a str8 draw.
WTH is What the Hell and yes +EV, lol Just saw that guy today.

I know what WTH means. My point is I don't think saying "WTH" and continuing to put MORE money into pots (by reraising) when you know you are beat is a a good idea in the long run.

And I have no idea what "guy" you are talking about...

The videos he makes fun of Hellmuth +EV

Yeah I know it is wasting money unless my read is wrong.
Chop that up to some tilt.

And that's why you CALL, in case your read is wrong... but by reraising, you're just tossing $20 out the window.

EV = Expected Value. Common Poker Term. Don't give credit to Hellmuth for it, cause I'm sure he didn't come up with it...

Holdem since 2002

5/10 for about a year, before that I played 1/2 mostly.
I like 5/10 though.
