Default Moneymaker played the $200 touney on 1/22/06

lol, that sucks i didnt get to see him play, bad he did pretty bad looking at the results. after winning the 2003 wsop main event, he has not won a big tourney, or make final tables a lot. too bad.

Default I disagree.

I'm certainly not a Chris Moneymaker fan, but I don't think he's doing as bad as you think:

ah back to this discussion. yes he won the WSOP< yes he is better than people think, but hes still not the player some people think he is. He is worthy of everything he gets for bringing th egame to the millions, the story of rags to riches and whatever, but hes still not a great poker player, he gets staked into lots of tourneis and "not often" does he place. In fact im sure its only 4 placings in major tourneies since the 2003 WSOP win.

lets be fair thats still better than any of us, but for someone with that much press attention and name power surely there must be a time when he will win something else?

Speak for yourself. I owned his all-in-in-the-dark-every-hand ass when I played with him in the Bahamas. Knocked him right on outta that tourney!

Im not sure if he plays on any other sites or anything. but if he makes his living off of pokerstars, he made less than 50K in 2005. Im sure he plays elsewear too, but I dont think hes doin much better than the average person playing internet poker with a fulltime job. But thats also just the MTT's.

You are also assuming that he cashed in every single tourney he played in, and not once did he buy into a tourney and not cash. You are also assuming that he never plays cash games (win or lose). You are also assuming that Poker Stars doesn't pay him nicely to be a part of their team. You are also assuming he doesn't make any money from speaking appearances, the book he wrote, and so on and so forth.

Wow... you sure did assume a lot!

wow, did I not say that that was ONLY the MTT's? Or say that I wasnt sure where else he played. And I also said "IF" he was making his living off of pokerstars.

What the fuck do you have against me? Youve been nothin but a douche bag to me since I got here.

winning the wsop does not make u a good player. it makes nu a lucky son of a gun. for instance our 2005 winner who i think is pretty good player was out on bubble- oh no he s not he hit a set lets go on to win it. no set no cash. gotta have that luck no matter how good u play, and if u watched moneymaker win his title u saw he had more than his share of luck .

Obviously winning a tourney that takes that long is gonna involve getting lucky, but no "bad player" could win the WSOP. Winning it does make you a good player. Hachem and Moneymaker may not be great, incredible players but they are definately good, and winning that tourney certainly is not 100% luck.

Easy there, big fella.... someone is taking things a bit too personally.

Guess I zeroed in on this comment, which made absolutely no sense to me:
As for me being a douche bag, if me not doing money transfers for you makes me a douche bag, than a douche bag I be.

BTW... just quickly browsed through all your posts, and all I see if you begging for money, asking for help with money transfers, and talking about play chips and freerolls. OH, and complaining about Poker Stars being mean to you regarding giving you your chat back and changing your image.

Real quality stuff.

Funny thing is - I don't see my being a douche bag to you anywhere, but maybe I just missed it. Maybe you mean when I didn't comply with your demand to get on AIM and take care of all your money problems for you.

I'm such a bastard like that.

Huh?

I sense sarcasm, but as you know, it's an art form... and you're no Picasso, buddy.
