NFL Tonight?
Whats everyones take on Seattle? I know the stats are against them, they have a very poor MNF record and a very poor record when playing on the East coast.... but it just seems philly has absolutely nothing to play for besides the fact that they will be in freont of a national audience.... that and philly is without their two best players, on a terrible losing streak, and seattle has athe far superior team.... Go with stats or go with logic?

3.5, if I take seattle I'll get it bumped to under a FG (2.5)

I'm an Eagles fan, and I think this is a clear Seattle play.

I thought the same, then I began wondering WHY the spread was so low... so I looked into it
1. Andy Reid has never lost to a Mike Holmgren-coached Seahawks team (2-0). 2. Brian Westbrook averages 5.1 yards per carry at home. 3. Seattle has lost its last three MNF games. 4. The Eagles have sacked Matt Hasselbeck 11 times in the last two meeetings. 5. The Eagles are 4-1 at home this season. 6. The seahawks have an awful record playing on the east coast Which again is why Im contemplating logic or stats?

Who cares about these stats, they mean nothing. They do not reflect anything about the current Philadelphia team or the Seahawks team. Andy Reid beat Mike Holgrem with Donovan Mcnabb and a playoff team, and that is not what this years team is. Mike Mcmahon is terrible. Shaun Alexander and Matt Hasselback are going to trample that injured Philly defense. I would take the hawks with any spread 9 points or less. |

The seahawks have an awful record playing on the east coast ( and both of their losses have come on the road, on the east coast this season) the 3 bolded ones certainly do have things to do with THIS game. Im going to take seattle tonight, but im buying a point and getting it to 2.5... if the spread were 9 however, I'd buy a point and a half to make it 10.5 and make a 4 unit bet on philly Edit: If you look at the spread it has gone down from 4 to 3.5 which means people are taking philly... also right now it is -105 if you take seattle and -115 if you take philly... this means the spread may go down again before game time, as even more people are taking philly... I may wait and see if it'll go down on its own then take seattle
