Default My reasons...

WHAT THE FUCK. I just typed a monster post... was proofreading... pressed backspace, and IE went crazy on me. Post draft deleted. LOL.

Ok, here's the deal - I have two main reasons for not pursuing legal action, as well as a few miscellaneous comments to follow:

Reasons*

1. My hectic life. (a) I'm buying a house and close on the 31st of this month, (b) My mom had a stroke last month, the family is recooperating, and we're helping her along the slow road of recovery, and (c) I don't work a normal job... it's not the normal 8 hr. days. It's not like I couldn't pursue action around all of these things, but if I just let it go, it's just one more thing off my plate.

2. Second chance? Maybe this is my opportunity to give someone a second chance. Let's consider for a second... the consequenses could be severe. Possible jail time? Yea, it's possible, esp. considering he tried to divert funds from my bank account. Do I really want to pull the trigger and do that to someone? He's 18. He's young, immature, and at that age, people (esp. males) do really stupid things. Maybe he's laughing that I'm giving him a second chance, maybe he doesn't understand yet, but I know that one day, he will. One day, he will realize the severity of this, and maybe be grateful that I gave him this pardon. Maybe that day will be before he starts spawning children. Maybe then, he'll be a good father and give them a good childhood, so that his kids won't do something (to this extent) when they turn 18.** (Yes, they'll still smoke weed... I really can't help that. ) I could be going on a tangent, but the point is this: his life might turn out better if I do this, so that's why I'm doing it. I'm giving him a second chance.

Miscellaneous.

1. He's lucky he made payment. It somewhat shows honesty, and to an extent, it shows remorse. (Yes, I understand it also shows that he's worried about the consequenses.) Granted, I don't have the money yet, but he did provide a tracking number, so things look good.

2. Jimmy, I think your actions are out of line. I ultimately think that the decision is mine, and it pisses me off that you're talking to Police and emailing Pokerstars about MY situation. You're talking about my information, and it's too personal, IMO. You're an asshole for getting so personal w/out my consent. And your song sucks. What do you really think you're going to accomplish without my cooperation? NONE of this is admissible at trial. If I don't testify to this, it's called hearsay. GG Rules of Evidence.

That's all I have for now. The original post was better.

*If you don't agree, I don't care.
**My legal experience tells me that all of this would amount to numerous felonies. It's hard to get a good job with that on your record, so it's entirely possible that he spends his life being a criminal to "make it."

Default Lou

Lou I + repped you for this last post because it explains your point of view very good. I think people (Jimmy) should of waited to read this before doing anything. I think all your reason are good ones and I agree with them, I know it dosent matter if I agree or not but I do none the less.

Jimmy I thought you were very wrong to inform the police on Lou's behalf, even though nothing you do will mean anything without Lou pressing charges. Anyway let me get off my soapbox because im not really involved in this either and its not my place to say.

Lets get this right, I havnt informed the police on Lous behalf or to help Lou, after Lou reached his decision I personnally didnt care much of Lou.

I informed the police for myself, I informed the police that no charges would be brought by the person concerned but I wanted the police and Pokerstars to have some sort of record about what happen and by the way addmitted to a member from this forum.

Lous reaction is expected and I am not getting at him at all and feel sorry to what happened to him but he had the capability and the education and the means to get his money back,,,many many many of us wouldnt and would be in real shit with the possibility of more online attacks from this guy.

Am not frightened to say publically 'LOU I AM SORRY IF I HAVE UPSET YOU' but we have to be protected and allthough your desicion looks like it has ended this bad experience you honestly knew it was going to upset a few mwmbers.

I think this thread has said it all, and the case should be put to bed unless someone else has something to say.

PS- I know the song is shit, I asked my Mother and she didnt know it was me and said exactley the same, now theres one person I never argue with.

You're in no place to be making jokes about this. STFU.

Why hasn't this idiot been banned yet? I hate to be a little bitch about it, but I will. I won't make another post or play in another league event until he is.

I can't respect the forum.

Hate to say, "him or me" but fuck it, that's exactly what I'm saying. See you when I see you folks.

Default And now for something completely different!

Pilate
And so the king
Is once again my guest
And why is this?
Was Herod unimpressed?

Caiaphas
We turned to Rome
To sentence Nazareth
We have no law
To put a man to death
We need him crucified
It's all you have to do

Pilate
Talk to me, Jesus Christ
You have been brought here
Manacled, beaten by your own people
Do you have the first idea
Why you deserve it?
Listen, king of the Jews,
Where is your kingdom?
Look at me
Am I a Jew?

Jesus
I have got no kingdom
In this world
I'm through, through, through
There may be a kingdom for me
Somewhere if I only knew

Pilate
You're a king

Jesus
Yes you can see I am
I look for truth
And find that I get damned

Pilate
What is truth?
Is truth unchanging law?
We both have truths
Are mine the same as yours?

Crowd
Crucify him, crucify him!

Pilate
What do you mean
You'd crucify your king?

Crowd
We have no king but Caesar

Pilate
He's done no wrong
No, not the slightest thing

Crowd
We have no king but Caesar
Crucify him!

Pilate
I see no reason
I find no evil
This man is harmless
So why does he upset you?
He's just misguided
Thinks he's important
But to keep you vultures happy
I shall flog him

Crowd
Crucify! Crucify!

Pilate (Counting off the 39 Lashes)
One! Two! Three! Four! Five! Six! Seven! Eight! Nine! Ten! Eleven!
Twelve! Thirteen! Fourteen! Fifteen! Sixteen! Seventeen! Eighteen!
Nineteen! Twenty! Twenty one! Twenty two! Twenty three! Twenty four!
Twenty five! Twenty six! Twenty seven! Twenty eight! Twenty nine!
Thirty! Thirty one! Thirty two! Thirty three! Thirty four! Thirty
five! Thirty six! Thirty seven! Thirty eight! Thirty nine!

Pilate
Where are you from Jesus?
What do you want Jesus?
Tell me!
You've got to be careful
You could be dead soon
Could well be
Why do you not speak
When I have your life in my hands?
How can you stay quiet?
I don't believe you understand!

Jesus
You have nothing in your hands
Any power you have
Comes to you from far beyond
Everything is fixed
And you can't change it

Pilate
You're a fool, Jesus Christ
How can I help you?

Crowd
Crucify him! Crucify him!
Remember Caesar
You have a duty
To keep the peace
So crucify him!
You'll be demoted
You'll be deported
So crucify him!

Pilate
Don't let me stop
Your great self-desctruction
Die if you want to
You misguided martyr!
I wash my hands
Of your demolition
Die if you want to
You innocent puppet!

Scroll to the very last post in that thread. See ya when we see ya I guess Pshabi, nice knowing you.

Thieves and people who idolize terrorists are much more important when a certain someones ego becomes involved.

I'm sure TP will eventually ban him, but it still might not keep him away from here. He'll find a way to come back under a different name.

What some of you are doing though, is worse. By giving him any type of attention, this will only feed his ego and give him more recognition and power. You don't want to do that. That's what he craves for. So please just stop the hate, which he seems to thrive on.

Do what I did and just ignore him. He'll get bored and just fade off and leave on his own.

ps: Don't you dare leave, Shabi.

Well, this is stupid. And you're COMPLETELY missing the point of why he hasn't been banned YET. But whatever.

I'll go do it now if people are going to start crying about it. It was coming in the next 24-48 anyway.

And oh goody... now that I've responded to this ultimatum (at least that's how it seems), I can't wait to see all the other demans that start rolling in. Thanks for that, shabi.

In the future - do me a favor and trust that I'm not a complete idiot and I know what I'm doing, ok? Cause when you say you don't respect the forum, we all know that really means you don't respect me.

You know what's funny about this, Ultimatum boy? What's funny is that I HAD CHANGED THAT GUY'S USERNAME THE MINUTE I SAW IT AND PEOPLE OBJECTING TO IT. But you were so worked up about it, that you literally went on and on about having to have him banned for quite some time (hours? days? I don't remember), when you were too lazy/stupid to realize you had gotten your way BEFORE you even started all your crying - Literally, before I even saw a single crying post from you.

And these two situations are completely different anyway. In this case, we are talking about a known thief who was going to be banned anyway. In the other case, we were talking about someone who registerd a username that YOU decided you didn't like and decided to take offense to.

As for the "ego" thing, I don't even know what you are talking about, but I will tell you that this forum is a beter place since you left anyway. You're still welcoem back any time, of course, but quite frankly, I don't miss your crying, whining, and chasing around ChipFish and trying to start a fight with him every other day... not one bit.

pshabi, on the other hand.... I would miss him if he left. Oh right - must be because of that whole "clique" thing you invented, right? Not because he's a contributing member around here or anything like that, right?

No need to worry about this. He's gone. And he won't be back (unless he physically moves, but there is only so much I can do at this time - and I've done it all).

I think you misunderstood what he said. I think he meant he doesn't want to be in the same forum where the "stupid teen" is in, hence the non respecting of forum. Has nothing to do with respecting you. As I've read from numerous posts, Shabi likes you and respects you, immensely.

As for the ultimatum, I agree with you. It was wrong of Shabi to give you an ultimatum, I'm sure he'll apologize to you for that soon enough. Right... Shabi?

TalkingPoker: I think Shabi might have missed your post in which you stated you were going to ban holdemstewart, soon.

Sad how one little jerk can upset a whole forum.

I understand what you are saying, but where does one draw the line? What if someone decided they didn't like {insert name here} because he was annoying and dropped the whole "It's him or me" line? Or what if it was for some other reason - like someone called someone else a name or something like that?

This forum is a community, and especially as it grows, there are going to be people in the community who don't like each other. But they are going to have to learn how to get along or to ignore each other. It's impossible for everyone in a group this size to be all hugs and kisses and love each other all the time.

I realize this was an extreme situation, as we had an admittd thief in our community. But as I said, the banning was coming anyway - I was just letting things wrap up for a couple of days first. In the future, I'd hope people would respect my decisions a little more, before dropping the "It's him or me" crap.

I'm out for the day... so hopefully this post will be wrapping things up and not making them worse. Because I'm not going to be around for a while to clean up the mess. GL mods

I'm sure on some level all those statements make sense together in a single post, but it may be a while before I figure it out.

As for the ego thing I'll apolagize for that, I'd even edit it but you already quoted me so there is no point.

As I have maintained, you have seriously misread me all along.

Good luck at the WSOP, I will probably introduce myself if I see you there, but acording to the above you don't want me to, or you do want me to, or you don't know if you want me to, or..........

Rereading my post and seeing how TP reacted to it makes me regret posting it. My post didn't represent my TRUE feelings at the time. I've been away from the forum for a few days, and admittedly I haven't read the thread, post for post, that closely. I scanned the "important" stuff for the juicy shit.

Anyway, I do remember TP saying he was going to "eventually" be banned. When I got home and saw a post by Stewie, admitting guilt, I figured there was no reason to not have banned him yet.

This morning, I talked to Mayhem on AIM. He said he thought TP had left town and wouldn't be back for a week. Not sure if this is true or what. So, when I came in this morning and read Stewie's smug posts all over the board, I got a little pissed. Figuring the moron would be around until TP got back (a week's a long time) I flipped a little.

But what I really meant and felt was: "I know TP is gonna drop this bitch when he gets back, but I'm not gonna be around until he does."

I could see how you would react negatively to my "respect" issues, TP. That was a definite poor choice of words and me acting on impulse. I take that back, and you know damn well I respect you. If I should "know" you better than that, then you should "know" me better than that too.

The last line of my post is very assholish (rereading for the 3rd time, I'm embarrased).

Fact is, I knew he'd be gone, as a show of my "character" (debatable) I was going to take a leave of absence until TP got things taken care of.

My pension for drama and my inflamed emotions made me say things that I shouldn't have.

Sorry to everyone.

I know your post wasn't directed at me, but I'm going to make an observation and hopefully help you out a little here.

The reason that you're probably "misread" here so often is because even when you come out of "asshole" mode and try to be apologetic or at least explain yourself, you still come up with posts like this one.

You always have to get the last potshot in, everytime, and you have failed to come off as sincere in any post, ever.

Clearly (?), I was trying to say that I have no problems with you as a person, and there were plenty of times when I didn't mind you being here... but there is a lot of your behavior that I don't miss.

And of course I'd like to meet you in Vegas.
