Anyway, I agree NOW that we're (USA) in big trouble, if our offensive players weren't as cold as ice at the moment I'd at least give us a fighting chance at swiping the 2nd spot in the group, but you can't win without scoring. I do feel we're still on course for a big stepup in 2010 though, not winning per se but we certainly should have a more solid and deeper core to choose from.

I suspect we are going to run a 4-5-1 (I know that I preached this for England too, but I think it is best for both teams). I think our most effective team would run a 5 man midfield behind McBride up front. The 5 in the mid- Beasly, Donovan, and Dempsey, supported by Reyna and Mastroeni. Based on the forwards Arena chose, I can’t see it happening another way. We are in serious trouble if Wolff or Ching ever see the field. And EJ is more of supersub than a starter, with his bad foot and all.
I was going to Germany this year, but I knocked my wife up at the wrong time and now instead of going to the WC I got a new baby son. Poor kid, I got to get over this resentment. Tony- do you post at Bigsoccer? |

Occasionally yes, I mostly read, but I occasionally pop up with something (more often a silly retort to some nut).
