Sitting patiently waiting for this card to start, one of the best fight cards we've ever seen with all the main card fights besides one having the potential to be a main event during any other PPV. Should be a great night of fights, hope you'll be watching, I know I will. Lets go Mir, GSP, and Hendo!

I just "bought" the hype. My son really wanted it. This is only the 2nd time I've bought one of these. Last was a good card too, even though the rampage/liddell main event sucked.

yea well this main event could be very similar to that, i dont see lesnar vs mir going to long, although i want him to win, mirs a longshot in this one for sure with lesnars athletic ability

There is a PPV I am going to miss at the start of August (8th?). The undercard has has Anderson Silva and Forest Griffin. That sounds like it would be a really good fight.

I'd like to see FG win, but I think he is going to be overmatched here.

its a fight at 205 (light heavyweight) and FG is a pretty big 205 fighter. He defiantly stands a chance in this fight the way anderson has looked lately, he wont be able to sitback and not attack against Forrest since he likes to push the pace.

I'm sure you could make lots of money then if you want to bet on Forrest (he's at +300 atm). Anderson executed his gameplan perfectly in that he would not engage Thales Leites in the only area that Leites could beat him at (the ground). Sure, it was boring, but I can't really fault him too much for it.

August 1st is also going to be the last Affliction card with Fedor vs. Josh Barnett headlining. Always very entertaining to see Fedor just destroy people, and is hopefully a prelude to Fedor vs. Brock.

probably rightfully so. Forrest is obviously going to stand with Silva given that he has no wrestling ability and standing with Silva is almost assured a disastrous end.

Not to mention Forrest will have a tough time on the ground with Silva, since i believe hes a BJJ blackbelt.

IMHO the UFC needs to give into whatever Fedor wants so they can setup Couture vs. Fedor or preferably Brock vs. Fedor, because at the end of the day Fedor is the #1 heavyweight in the world and deserves to be treated as so. If the UFC will pay scrubs like Michael Bisping $150,000+ per fight, I think they're financially stable enough to pay one of the best fighters in the world a good chunk of change/accept his terms on a contract.
