Default Other League input

I have been reviewing the structure of a previous league (link below) and I like the points and payout structure.

Based on what you see in that link I would like to invite comments and opinions about the buy-in size for the tournaments and the optional League Entry Fee that funds the additional prizes at the end.

Personally, I like the amount of $20 dollars for the optional entry fee. But what about the individual event buy-ins? I would like to see something like a $5 buy-in to make it more accessible for the lower stake members. I can afford the 10+1, but I'd like to see more people able to play. Aswell, the amount is not my primary motivation in the league. I am driven to do well among my forum colleagues.

Thoughts?

For buy-ins and the league fee, the max I'd be willing to go for both is $20 (I guess $22 for a tourney buy-in. The lower ones would be nice as it allows for more players, but I'm thinking some of the higer rollers would then take the games less seriously.

I would like to see very low tourney buy ins ($5) and as high of a league fee as possible.

This should help us maximize the number of people playing every week.

I am already in a league elsewhere, but I don't mind participating in this one too. That being said, I am not willing to pay more than $10 towards the league fee.

A $5.50 tournament buy-in would be terrific. To compensate for the low buy-in and make the tournaments a little more interesting...you can make it a *bounty per head* type tournament. $1 or $2 extra?

Person who gets knocked out by a player needs to send that player (who knocked him/her out) the bounty fee (immediately).

I like the idea of a bounty tourney, but I think it should be a one time, special thing - a warm up for the league, if you will.

Maybe we could have a $5 tourney with everyone kicking in $5 towards bounties too. Everyone will ship it to my TalkingPoker account when they register, and then I'll pay out all the bounties myself at the end. Heck, I'd even kick in some extra cash to make sure this is +EV for everyone. I think it would be a lot of fun and could help generate interest in the league.

Good idea.

I apologize for not being around much - work has been a zoo (I'm pretty sure I saw some wolves last week) - anyway...

This is a great idea - I'm all for it. The league is a good idea, I'm in every chance I get. I like the idea of the low buyins as well and something like a $20 league fee.
