The 6 week layoff effected the team tremendously (see michigan and ohio state as prime example)

A hesiman trophy winner simply does not play that bad, nor is Florida's D that good. I mean come on, The entire team AND their coaches were suprised when they got the #2 spot and a chance at the national championship, they didn't expect it nor think they deserved it. (I saw the footage you cant tell me otherwise, I saw their surprised faces)

If this game had been played in the first week of december, it would have gone very very different IMO... but florida played an awsome game and was stellar on both sides of the ball

They might have been surprised, and who knows if the players thought they deserved it or not, but I can tell you that all of their fans down here certainly thought they deserved it. They actually still can't shut-up about it... half the callers on sports talk radio down here today are still whinning about the Michigan people that thought they should get a rematch. The other funny thing are all the callers that are still debating about whether Tebow should have played more that Leak. God, shut up and be happy you won.

Congrats !
Florida did look prepared to play OSU did not.
The injury to one of their playmakers did not help much either.

even with Ginn Jr. do you think he has 4 Td's? they lost by 27 and 4 TD's makes 28 for the W if you think he was good for 4? Actually 5. He scored 1 on the KR.

Actually, as much as I love another SEC team winning, I have to disagree a bit here:

The reason Troy Smith got manhandled (besides the obvious no protection) was that he didnt have an outlet. None of the OSU receivers managed to get open, ever. Ginn may have drawn double coverage, opening up the rest of the field, or been the outlet guy himself... <shrug>
