Default WSOP ME Day 4 shows

Three thoughts:

1. saw another side of Scotty - a story I'd never heard.

2. Still precisely zero Jerry Yang sightings.

3. Though I've come to like Norman Chad, he must have come up empty if harping on players re-checking their hole cards was the best shtick he could come up with.

what did u think about that j5 sooted call against scotty? I mean if he knew scotty had ak I guess it's the correct play. I just can't figure out why he would put so much money on that hand looked like to me he wanted to bust out a champ and get his t.v time.

Thanks to our (Kurn and I, that is) bet during the WSOP where we picked people we had never heard of to see who would go the deepest, it was cool seeing some of my peeps on tv - Dag Martin Mikkelson, in particular. He got some good tv time as the chip leader at one point.

While I didn't see him, my guy Avi Cohen was listed in the top 10 chip leaders at one point.

I sort of spaced out during the hand, so I don't remember the action before Scottty shoved. One leak I try very hard to plug is stealing against a short stack where, if he shoves, I'll be priced in with trash. If the J5s guy was getting 2.5:1 or better, its an automatic call. He's not that big a dog vs Scotty's range. But that's a reason to make the initial raise in the first place.

Dude raised from the SB (steal), Scotty reraised from the BB. Dude obviously put him on a steal and REreraised. This was his mistake, IMO. Just let it go here. Scotty shoved and by now, dude was priced in with his J5.

You cant hate the line (it sucks because you committed yourself, but it also prevents Scotty from making a re-resteal) because Scotty will 3 bet a shit load of hands in this spot against what he perceives a steal. I remember a WPT with Daniel and Scotty, where Daniel raised preflop and then bet the flop (like 2/3 the pot or something) and Scotty had the min raise already prepared and immediately threw it out. Daniel looked at him like wtf? Scotty says "you bet no matter what I raise no matter what -- what??" (or something like that)
