Default Avoid Willam Hill and crypto (not that anyone plays there anymore anyway)

A while ago, I played this hand on william hill:
Game #1166379354: Hold'em FL (€2/€4) - 2005/12/24 - 02:59:51 (UK)

Table "Honey" Seat 2 is the button.
Seat 1: ginagee (€101.07 in chips)
Seat 2: caley bob (€63.65 in chips)
Seat 3: Polarnut (€208.25 in chips)
Seat 4: Russki sits out
Seat 5: candiru (€132.27 in chips)
Seat 6: chambo1 (€111.90 in chips)
Polarnut: posts small blind €1
candiru: posts big blind €2
----- HOLE CARDS -----
dealt to Polarnut [Ts Jc]
chambo1: calls €2
ginagee: calls €2
caley bob: calls €2
Polarnut: calls €1
candiru: checks
----- FLOP ----- [Kd Js 4s]
Polarnut: bets €2
candiru: folds
chambo1: raises €4
ginagee: calls €4
caley bob: calls €4
Polarnut: calls €2
----- TURN ----- [Kd Js 4s][Jh]
Polarnut: checks
chambo1: bets €4
ginagee: calls €4
caley bob: calls €4
Polarnut: raises €8
chambo1: calls €4
ginagee: calls €4
caley bob: folds
----- RIVER ----- [Kd Js 4s Jh][9d]
Polarnut: bets €4
chambo1: folds
ginagee: calls €4
----- SHOW DOWN -----
Polarnut: shows [Ts Jc] (Three of a kind, Jacks, King high)

Most likely I won this hand, becase a) my turn raise was not reraised, and b) gingae would have likely raised with anything that beats me.

When I reconnected, I'm at a new table with different players, but with .25c less:
Seat 2: lambsie (€110.44 in chips)
Seat 3: Polarnut (€208 in chips)
Seat 4: Hakkan (€84.75 in chips)
Seat 5: Persons (€148.25 in chips)
Seat 6: Kingsup (€112.50 in chips)

But I don't know if that happened or not, because I disconnected right after I showed my hand.

I emailed willhill to find out what happened, and here's the responses that I've got

Rep:
If you are disconnected due to a William Hill fault then we will refund any missing or lost funds. However, if the disconnection is not caused by a William Hill fault then we are not able to offer any refunds.

We hope that this answers your query.

With regards,

Barnaby

Me:
Hello, thank you for the response. However, i also asked for the outcome
>of this hand (#1166379354)Â Since I was disconnected during the showdown,
>the hand seemingly should have had an outcome. If you feel that this
>disconnect was my problem, please at least post the results and who won
>that hand, as when I was reconnected it wasn't evidently clear. Thank you.

REP:
We have reviewed our poker logs which show no hand with the number 1166379354. Your logs show that you were involved in hands 1166379324, 1166379334 and 1166379344, then the next hand you played was 1166417934.

Hands numbers run in ascending order, so hand 1166379354, should appear on your records between 1166379344 and 1166417934, but it does not. We believe, however, that there is a fault with the logs we have attempted to retrieve because your balance went from 208.25 at the end of hand 1166379344 and 208.00 at the beginning of hand 1166417934. Because we have been unable to trace the logs, we have credited your account with the shortfall of 0.25 ($0.30).

Me: Paraphrase
That answer is not good enough, where did this money go?

Rep: paraphrase
Please wait longer, we are investigating

Me(1 and 1/2 months later):
I still have no answer, please credit my account with the pot if no answer is evident:

Rep:
"We have had a report back from the software vendor for the poker that states that the hand number you listed does not exist in the logs for Real money tables and they have suggested that the game you have play could have been in the Play for Fun tables."

Veterans here know that none of my posts here have been flames or b.s., so for anybody who plays a significant amount of money, I'd stay away from crypto. I'll post the final results of this arguement if anybody seems interested in this.

it doesn't explain the loss of the .25, but if the site crashed the hand would have been voided (and possibly not logged by their system) and based on what they said they would have issued refunds to the players involved. That would explain most of it.

If you had logged back in to find the pot lost and there was no record of the hand in thier system that would be VERY sketchy.

Sucks that they can't do a better job at the customer service to explain it and give you a definitive answer.

yeah, I'm okay with a site having no disconnect protect or whatever, but this is a real strange case becase a) I already showed my hand, and b) I was automatically reconnected at a diiferent table with .25 less, instead of the full amount i put in the pot (which is what should happen if i have no dp)

Strange. If I had been in your situation, I would have a) immediately gone looking for that table or b) search for one of the other players and ask them what happened.

Look on the bright side. At least you didn't lose what you put into that hand.

edit: Only other explanation I could think of was that you were mistaken of where you were. Maybe this was a tournament? In that case, there would be an ante of $.25 and would explain the table change too.

Ask the willhill support to check the tournament hand histories.

Last email, BS.

Dear Mr we don't want your business anymore,

Thank you for your e-mail.

As stated in previous e-mails to yourself we have investigated your query in full and can confirm that the hand number does not correspond to a hand played on the William Hill software itself.

We have checked all your logs and just not the table Honkeytonk and can confirm you was reconnected to the same table which you was playing previous, we also, as a gesture of goodwill credited the lost funds back to your account. As it was not a William Hill system problem we would not normally credit the funds however we did on this occasion for you.

We can assure you that the query has been thoroughly investigated and we have exhausted all our options with this query and are happy with the resolution we have reached.

If you are not happy with our decision then the next step would be for you to submit your query to IBAS (Independent Betting Arbitration Service) The I.B.A.S website and full contact details can be found at

With regards,

Tom

And Now you get to write a long lovely letter to the IBAS huh.....hopefully they can do something about sites like these. There are too many sites out there scamming people out of money slowly and surely...Take ur money and deposit it on a site with a nice bonus that is trustworthy....Pstars, Party, Full tilt, Titan....any of these...That site sounds like a bunch of BS to me.

Edit: The above post confuses me, Why were they investagating a table honkeytonk? Was that the table you reconnected at? Because the original post says you were at table "Honey" Sounds to me like someone is confused....and its not you..
