Default Hilarious Hand Played Out Last Night

Not sure how much you guys will get out of this since you're all primarily internet only guys, but a funny hand came about last night.

both players unknown to me, except for player 2 tried a stupid bluff in an obvious spot and I snap called him with bottom pair ( Qs Ts 5d board flop checks around 2d on the turn I bet it with 6h5h first to act and get two calls, river comes Qh I check 2nd player checks, villain close to pots it , I snap call)

5/10 NL

Player 1 raises to $50 and player 2 calls... HU. Flop comes 74K Player 1 bets $80 and player 2 calls. Turn comes A Player 1 mutters under his breath that player 2 has been chasing him down all night and he has two pair .... he bets $225. Player 2 semi hears him and says what? You have two pair? Player 1 replies you've been chasing me down all night, I'll show it to you. Player 2 doesn't seem convinced and asks "you have Ace King?" Player two gives a half frown and nods his head.... after a delay player 1 calls.

River comes A and player 1 shrugs his shoulders and turns his hand up (in the "well what can i do" manner) immediately moves all in for $900

Player 2 asks for a count and begins the dialog. You have Ace King? Yes....I'll show you....player 2 asks him to show him one card then, and player 1 replies ill show you both after you fold, I promise I have you beat.

At this point Im ready to burst out of my seat and scream CALL THIS GUY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I mean on the turn sure it might make some sense (he doesnt want to be drawn out on) but on the river, you have the nuts and your telling him your hand and telling him to fold.....uhhhhh WHAT? No way pure bluff..... but then I get thrown off witht he next bit...

"On my kids, I swear I got it"

(Hmm... maybe this guy legitimately doesnt wanna take the guys money?)

Player 2 thinks more and again asks him to show one card and he again replies, On My Kids, I swear, I got it? Player 2 asks Ace King? Player one replies Yea. Player 2 says so show me one....player 1 doesnt and says I'll show both when you fold......

Finally after a delay player 2 says ok....because you said on your kids Im gunna lay this down. Player 1 says thank you.

(This has to be a bluff....but would he really say all this???)

Player 2 mucks and player one goes to muck also...

Hey I thought youd show!

Player 1 slowly and begrudgingly turns over Qd8d.

The table erupts with chatter and laugher and comments

Player 2 tells him that he's going to hell

Player 1 has a mental breakdown and leaves the table for 20 minutes, comes back like hes been shot in the heart twice and slowly picks up his chips telling the dealer "I cant play another hand"

Another player asks him if he even has kids? The table cracks up and player 1 sadly says yes. Player 2 tells him hes going to hell again. Player 1 sadly nods and says I know....

Funny shit

Default KITN all around

Live poker rules.

Both player deserves a kick in the nuts. For a father to swear on his kids is just bad form, and invites terrible karma. Meanwhile the other guy should be calling this every time, especially if the dad-from-hell refuses to show one card.

I played live 1-3 at the casino the other night and raised to $35 preflop from MP and still got 7 callers wtf.

Live is fun occasionally but if I were to seriously play it it'd have to be for more $ than I play with online.

Thats kinda how I am although for you it'd be a problem since you are already playing so high. Online I generally play 1-2 - 5-10 (so $200 - $1000 buy in)

Live i'll play 2-5, 5-5 , 5-10 - 10-20 and 10-25 (although the last two less often)

Im buying in anywhere from $500 (small 2-5 games) to $3500 (10-20 and 10-25 games), obviously much bigger.

since you're used to $25/50+ online, it's rare to find a live game above 25/50 spread consistently... even at the borgata which has the biggest poker action in AC they spread 1-2 2-5 5-10 and 10-20 every day, then like 66% of the time they have 10-25 and 25-50 also.... and during events like the WPT etc they'll have a 50-100 (and i believe i once saw a 100-200)

Great story. LOL at player 1 having a breakdown.

Would only have been better if he didn't have kids.
