This is the classic game. I've never really played this, but I know people like it. In fact, I don't even fully understand the rules.

Clear the tiles as fast as you can. You have to complete the game for it to submit your score, so choose carefully and don't get stuck.

Is this game extremely difficult to beat, or is it just me?

I feel like I'm playing it well and making the correct strategy decisions as I go along, but I end up screwing myself somehow the majority of the time.

Generally speaking, what's more valuable - Clearing tiles from higher rows that have tiles under them, or clearing bottom level tiles on rows that are much wider? Originally, I thought it was the former, then I thought it must be the latter, and now I think it depends how far along you are in the game.

But I really have no idea. Any Mahjong experts out there?

I play Mahjong all the time. I'm not the greatest, but I find the best way to consistently clear the board is to work on the very top row and very bottom row as much as possible. I try to use pieces from the upper levels to do this. One thing with Mahjong, not every puzzle is solveable and I'm not sure if the one we have here always generates a a solveable puzzle.

It seems you are our local Majong expert! Thanks for the tips.

I think I had literally only played the game once or twice ever until installing it here. And now I get mad when I can't beat it, because it seems like something I should be able to do.

Stupid addictive mahjong taking away from my penguin bashing time...

Glad I'm not the only one on severe tilt from this POS rigged game. Holy Fuck.

M guess is that it's either a truly random "shuffle," or it might even be strategically stacked against the player to make it possible to solve, but extremely difficult. From what I'm hearing, this is about as tough a version of mahjong as there is.

I've beat it twice now in I'll guess at least a dozen attempts.
