hit and run debate
ok so what you think about this? I find nothing wrong with it on online poker. I dont care if someone comes and sits and wins my money and leaves. To me poker is a long term thing and if someone wins and leaves I could care less.
that being said here is what happened today sat at a table and won aroun $200 and left. I didnt need to sit there anymore I won enough and was happy with it so I left. Guy got all pissy while I was sitting out, but thing is I play on the site a couple hours a day a couple times a week so how am I hitting and running. I have played with this said player most likley over 20 times. he is good player and I respect his play but this last outburst of his I find really pathetic. I mean its your money right? if you want to leave after 1 hand that is your choice. so what is your guys opinion? |

i have absolutely no problem hitting and running online. If I happen to be at a table a while and the table's friendly I'll usually announce at least a few hands before I leave. (usually one orbit) Obviously sometimes things come up and I have to leave immediately. For no-nonsense tables where the chat is minimal and not very friendly, if I score a big pot and feel that there isn't much more to be made there - I'm outta there.
If I happen to piss off a couple people in the process, all the better. Maybe they'll remember me and be on auto-tilt next time I sit down with them. |

On-line its fine
When playing line poker there are a ton of other factors that "could" make you need to leave a table Kids crying, bathroon, meeting etc. Totally different than if your at a casino . That being said its your money your time you should be able to leave a table when you feel like it. Whether you've played one hand or 500. Wish I knew how to do it.Have said god I should have left while I was up 500!!

I don't care either, but if someone makes a horrible play and luckboxes their way into scooping a big pot, you can bet they instantly go on the buddy list.

Its about money not making money not friends scoop a pot and leave screw 'em.Smash and grab is a good strategy

It does get a little aggravating when they leave and come right back. WPEX doesn't have a ratholing rule and some players will make $2, leave and come right back minus the 2 bucks, over and over. Other than that I care not.
