Default Who wants a(nother) free $50???

***** Please note. Due to an unexpected cut in my affiliate commission from Titan, this offer is now for $40 instead of $50, effective 9/5/05. Those of you who took me up on it before I put the offer on hold on 9/5 will still be paid the full $50, but going forward, I can only pay $40. This is still a can't lose offer for you, and Titan has been giving nearly everyone $10 free for making their first deposit, so this is still a great deal. Read on for the details *****

Those of you who took me up on my are familiar with this deal already. This is essentially the same deal, but a little bit sweeter...

was officially launched yesterday (brought to you by the people who brought you Noble Poker, before selling it to Empire), and because they are aggressively trying to get players, here is my offer for you:

1. Follow my link to Titan Poker:
2. Download their software and create an account.
3. Make at least a $20 deposit (they will match this deposit 100% up to $500, so it would be wise to deposit more).
4. Play for a while (This step is optional, but they need to make money too, so please give their site a try).
5. PM me with your Titan account name, the date you signed up, how much you deposited, and your screen name, and once I confirm your deposit, I will transfer you $40.

That's it! Once again, this is a "can't lose" offer for you guys, but that's not all...

BONUS: Everyone who takes advantage of this offer during the month of September will be invited to play in a $300 freeroll, exclusive for TalkingPoker.com members, provided we have at least 15 people who qualify. The freeroll will be on Thursday, October 6th at 9:00 PM ET, so mark your calendars now.

This offer is good until further notice, but in order to play in the freeroll, you need to be a depositing player by the end of September.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Doh! I'm an idiot. Somehow I missed the PokerStars reference the first time I read it.

I can't believe Aeq hasn't jumped on this yet. This would be a major boost for his Eggroll! Surely the boy can scrape up a $20 bill via some chess hustling, right?

LOL... Are you even serious? I assume you are kidding.

Somehow I don't picture you playing enough hands on Titan to earn $50 in rakeback any time soon (instead of clearing always available bonuses elsewhere)... and certainly not with 0 risk like this. But to each their own.

I'm not sure exactly what you are saying about the Noble deal, but to clarify, *I* didn't mislead anyone. Did you type the wrong word there, maybe, or was it someone else who mislead you? I got many thank yous from the people who took me up on that deal, which is why I'm excited to be able to offer it again here.

As I recall, the reason you didn't take me up on it was because you already had a Noble account. Titan is a brand new site, so no one should have that problem this time around...

This is correct. Everyone who takes advantage of this this month will be entered in the $300 freeroll on October 6th.

Only a few signed up so far, with a bunch more people saying they will. I'm confident we'll reach the 15 minimum.

Also, so far, the people that have been signing up have told me they have been getting ANOTHER $10 from support for making their first deposit within 24 hours. Something like that.

Will do.... Hope to have things worked out tomorrow. I'll probably still be able to offer you guys some sort of "can't lose" deal, but it might not be $50 any more. Because my players are "unprofitable" (not exactly a big surprise), they cut my commission. I'll get this sorted out in the next day or two...

who the hell cares if we are profitable or not they get there rake if we win or lose. Ok so we lose and deposit again and they get more rake, this I just dont get at all. I really hate the skin so the only reason I deposited there was to get the $50 free on pokerstars but I understand if you cant give it and I know you will take care of us you have never screwed anyone before and I know you wont now tp.

Um............ You are missing the point completely. They don't care if you are profitable as in if you win or lose - they care if you are profitable to them. So, if the "rake" you generate is, say, 10% of the amount of money they pay me for you playing there (or even 90% for that matter), they are losing money on you. Hence, they are cutting my commission.

If you look at the part of your comment that I bolded, that is exactly why this happened. It's not your fault (or anyone else's), but that's the point. Too many people were depositing, collecting the money from me, and leaving without playing there enough to make this a good deal for THEM too.

I WILL honor ALL the signups made up until the time I posted the notice this morning. I will also work out some sort of deal for everyone else in the next day or two... It just might not be $50 any more. It won't be tons less, but it will probably be less.

Anbd we're still on for the freeroll, regardless.

really cool of you to still give the $50 even though you are not getting the deal from them anymore, I thank you. Honestly I dont mind giving new sites some action but I really cant stand their torney schedules. Usually if you offer a new site and it looks good to me I will stay there but the site really didnt impress me too much.

I understand but how can they decide we are unprofitable after what 1 week? Is it because we just made minimum deposits? I mean if they just give us one week thats pretty sad because who says next week someone wont just dump 1k in there to play. Personally I think they are losing out by screwing you over and making a bad name for themselves here.

I was actully planning on putting more in there in next couple of weeks because even though I dont like the tornies the NL cash games are very good. Now though im not to sure about it.
