Default Talking Poker NLHE MTT?

TP - Any ideas?

As you know, it's quite easy to set up via Pokerstars, and it seems like there is ample interest. Maybe if we schedule something in a week or two, so that people have enough time to transfer funds?

Default let's go

I have my serious doubts about a MTT going down. Let's get a single table going. I'm down for tonight. Sissies.

Why would you have "serious doubts?" Not only have many people expressed interest, but TP was considering adding money for promotion. I think it's a great idea.

Little promotion on RGP, he'll have a new wave of registered members.

Default I'm up for it...

First... let's try to pick a time and a buy-in.

How does $10 sound for the first one (and I'll see about adding money, depending how many people are interested).

Maybe sometime on Sunday, January 30th?

Whatever.

Since it's on the weekend, I can't guarantee that I can play, but $10 is fine with me. My ideal time would probably be like ... a Tuesday night.
Well, let's see who's interested.

$10 is good with me and just let me know ahead of time when you want to do this and I'll be able to do it.

I would be interested. However I, too, would need to transfer from Party to Stars in order to play.

As for the idea of a MTT, I vaguely remember TP mention something about a "TalkingPoker.com open" in a past post. Sounds like a good idea to me.

I would be interested in playing. TP, any way of transfering $ from posts into Stars? Or is Empire basically the only option for me? Either way, play or not, I'll be there to at least watch. Let the REAL smack talk begin! lol
I bet Aeq. can lead us off in that dept.

Default Count me in!

I need to deposit $50 into stars anyway for an upcoming Bloggers tourney. Last time we had like 70 people, buyin was $20, and the winner made like 1500. Not too bad. That one is Feb 2nd. If anyone is interested details should be up on . I think it is open to all readers of the Blog so go and read some archives. heh.

I think anyone who wants in should put a note in here so we can get a head count. I will post it on my Blog too and that might drive a little traffic here. .

Stars is supposed to be very helpful with these things.

Not too bad?
Considering there was only 1400$ in the prize pool, Winning $1500 for first is pretty damn good.
What did second get?

Fear, does not exist, in this dojo, does it?

Bring it on! I've been trying to line up a game with someone, anyone on this site all weekend.

Don't let me intimidate you. Although I will go Joe Willie Namath style and make a prediction about the result of this tourney:

Default Sorry

Don't play 5/10, and definitely don't play 6 max.

Anyway, I can't account for the other 4 players we're sitting with. You'll prolly pull a "matador" on me and be winking and blinking and fidgeting and flicking and I'll get schooled by your team.

I'll be playing a shit ton of party 2/4 badbeats tonight, so why don't you look me up son?

I'll turn off my search block just for you.

Anyway, let's wait til tourney time, if you cowards ever decide to step up, and we'll see what happens. I'd be down to play a 5-10 man tourney tonight if anyone wants to set one up on Stars.

I COULD set a date, but I'd really rather you guys do it. If I absolutely can't make it, I'll speak up, but otherwise, I'll make it happen on my end. THIS coming weekend is no good for me... but after that, I should be able to make it happen. You guys decide when, and what the buy in is, and I'll set it up... probably on Stars.

I vote for a $10 buy in (for this first one) any time after this coming weekend. I may or may not add money to the prizepool, but I will definitely put a bounty on my own head!

Ok boys - figure out the details!

$10 buy in, and i don't see why january 30th wouldn't work for me. i'm sure if you simply said it will be jan. 30th then people can plan for it and make it happen.

Default If I may...

January 30 puts us in the middle of a PartyPoker deposit bonus. Since everyone would probably want to consolidate their bankrolls and re-deposit on Party to gain the max bonus, maybe we should have the tournament after?

I wouldn't say anything if PokerStars allowed a deposit for $11, allowing entry to the tournament, but I believe the minimum deposit is $50. I dunno about you, but I'd rather have that $50 earning a bonus.

Anyone else? Thoughts?

January 30 is fine. Seriously, you guys should be able to come up with $50 unless you're a college student or younger.
