Default Live Night Ring Game

I'm having one of these at my house next week, haven't held one with 7 players in a long time, and I now have a beatiful 500 chip composite set to unvail, along with my auto shuffler, since I'm lazy.

Every player is playing $50, since it is a friendly and even family game. Just wondering, my father wants the game to last about 4 hours, and there really is only myself and 1, and maybe 1 other who are any good. Keep in mind we are playing odd games, such as follow the queen and kings and little ones, maybe some Chicago and even Fierry Cross (I probably just botched the spelling there), but anyways, any suggestions on how to deploy the chips.

I have:

150 white: I want these to be lowest, like 25 cent chips
200 red: Likely the 50 cent chips
100 blue: dollar chips
I also have 50 green chips, however since the limits are only probably $1 max bet, should I use these as ante chips and make them worth 10 cents?

I would like to win about $150 from these guys, and this post may seem pointless, but any suggestions?

well for starters the chips you have, at the values you stated, add up to $242.50. This is less than the $350 you need for 7 players at $50 each.

I would suggest getting rid of .50 chip and make them as follows:

white .10
red .25
blue $1
green $5

The greens can be traded in later if someone loses a bit. And you want them all to be in fron tof you anyway, so doesn't matter too much, right?

white 20x .10 = $2 (140/150 chips total)
red 24x .25 = $6 (168/200 chips total)
blue 12x $1 = $12 (84/100 chips total)
green 6x $5 = $30 (42/50 chips total)

total $50

Makes sense, but now I was thinking of maybe just having a $25 buy-in. I know most of them don't play often, and are just coming over to have some beers. Once they bust out, they simply buy in another $25, however I do realize that usually when someone re-buys they play a little more tight.

I think $150 was a little exaggerated, however I always seem to catch the high card in Chicago.

Last time I was playing with my buddies, listen to this starting hand.

There were only 4 guys which kind of sucked.

Kings and Little Ones

My down cards are K2

My 1st card up is a K.

My 2nd card up is a K.

My third card up is a 2.

Dealt a pair of 7s after that. 5 aces after 5 cards, wow.

I wish at least one of the kings was a deuce though, probably would have gotten more out of the pot.

That's awesome: in a cheap game b/n friends and family, You're looking to cripple the table.

More power to ya.

I played a $.05-$.25 spread dealer's choice game with my girlfriend's family about 2 months ago... They were all breaking my balls about being the "big shot" poker player (whatever that means)... and they were mad at me at the end of the night when I made $27.

Gotta love wild cards.

I don't want to cripple the table.

I know, I said $150 may be a little exaggerated though.

They all know I play daily so they know what they are coming up against.

I am currently trying to save some dough to purchase a condo and any money I can get is only going to help, no matter who's pockets I need to raid .
