I used to collect when I was a kid, but I don't have anything as serious as you have.

1)Signed Gary Sheffield (index card! lame...)
2)Someone stole my (silver and signed, forgot the set) Michael Jordan card
3)Chipper Rookie card
4)Carlos Delgado Rookie (he has become a flop, but it is a special card from the set-all shiny and shit)
5)Frank Thomas glow in the dark!!! wooohooo

These, I guess, are more my favorites than anything special.

When I was 12, I could have sold my baseball cards for about 10 grand. Now, they're worth about 10 hundred ... oh, wait, that's a thousand ...

I probably have a couple thousand cards, there's probably a hundred or so good rookie cards that might be worth something.

I have a Dodgers Rookie Card Limited Set that has Karros, Nomo, Pizza-boy rookie cards together. Perfect condition, it's worth some dough.

I have two gloves, one signed by the 91 ABraves starting rotation and one signed by the 95 ABraves starting rotation.

A bunch of nice baseballs...Lou Brock, 91Braves players/coaches, John Havlichek, Phil Niekro, Dale Murphy, Hank Aaron, and a few others.

Then again, I do work for the Braves, so some of the other stuff I have is pretty nice too.

Nice perk, for sure!

I used to be a pretty serious babeball card and memorabilia collector as a kid. I have dozens of signed cards and balls - many from really big name HoF players, etc. I remember a time when players would sign autographs for free, or even at card shows when you had to pay for them, they were reasonably priced.

In the early 90s, when the baseball card market went crazy and there were just too many things to keep up with, I switched exclusively to collecting one player. Yes, just one player. It's all been packed away and untouched for years, but I will wager that I have one of the top 3 Jose Canseco collections in the world. It might be only top 5 or top 10 by now, but I only ever knew of two guys (with VERY deep pockets, apparently) who MAYBE had a better collection than I did. And collecting was a lot harder back then, before the internet boomed and ebay was born.

You name it - I've got it. Well over 2000 DIFFERENT cards (crazy, isn't it?), game used and signed bats/balls/cleats/shirts... When I lived in PA, I had a lot of it displayed in the guest room of my house. It was pretty cool... It got packed away when I moved though and hasn't been touched since.

Bet you didn't know that about TP.

My 10 year old son's collection is off to a nice start...

* John Elway signed football and trading card (during last year's Super Bowl here Elway was working out at my club and one afternoon when he was there I called my wife and told her to have our son get a football and get over to the club to get his autograph... Elway as pretty cool about it)

* Lots of signed Jacksonville Jaguars cards (Leftwich, Jimmy Smith, Marcus Stroud rookie card, John Henderson, Matt Jones rookie card...), he also has Brett Favre and Ricky Williams cards that have game worn jersey swatches in them

* Football signed by a number of Jaguars (Leftwich, Jimmy Smith, Fred Taylor, Donovin Darius...)

* TPC golf hat signed by Vijay Singh, Ernie Els, Fred Couples, Davis Love, David Duval and others...

* Signed Pete Sampras card

Not bad for a 10 year old.

well what killed the sports card market is that there are so many kinds now...

back in the day it was Topps, Upper Deck, Fleer, and Donruss... now there are like 100 kinds of cards for each year.

I will give you a example of this...

Ive got 30 Marvin Harrison rookie cards.. of those 30, about 16 of them are different... so thats 16 different brand of cards.

Topps use to be Topps, now its Topps Chrome, Topps Stadium Club, etc...

the sports card market is dead.

Yes, oversaturation killed the sports card market. I used to be a big collector. My top five cards that I can think of....

*2000 Ultra Lavar Arrington rookie. He didn't sign with the players association when he was drafted so none of his cards were supposed to be made. In the effort to get rookies out asap, Fleer Ultra and Upper Deck Collectors Choice accidently let some of his cards slip into production. The Ultra one is by farrrr more rare than the upper deck. Last time I checked it was $200.

*Peyton Manning Topps Autograph.
*Mike Schmidt Upper Deck Legends Auto
*Kenny Stabler Game used Jersey card
*Johnny Bench game used jersey card
*Alex Rodriguez game used bat card

If anyone is interested in purchasing any of these, let me know.
(Except for the Petyon Auto, I wanna keep that)
