Default new converter questions...

I'm doing some work on the new converter (yeah, ok laugh all you want...) and I'm running through some options for how to handle things better.

This is a sample for a side-pot:

Full Tilt Cash game, $3/$6 No Limit, 6 players
Hand History by

SB: $288.75
BB: $649.20
UTG: $605.70
HERO (MP): $1173.25
CO: $1391.95
Button: $2681.75

SB posts Small Blind $3
BB posts Big Blind $6

Pre-flop: K K ($9)
UTG raises to $12
HERO raises to $45
CO folds
Button folds
SB raises to $288.75 and is all in
BB folds
UTG calls $276.75
HERO raises to $1173.25 and is all in
UTG calls $316.95 and is all in

Flop: 3 T 3 ($875.25) ($633.90)

Turn: 3 T 3 J ($875.25) ($633.90)

River: 3 T 3 J 8 ($875.25) ($633.90)

Showdown:
HERO shows (K K) two pair, Kings and Threes and wins $875.25
UTG shows (9 9) pair of Threes
------
HERO shows (K K) two pair, Kings and Threes and wins $633.90
UTG shows (9 9) pair of Threes
SB shows (A Q) pair of Threes

This would be a multi-side pot situation (pot amounts are wrong - ignore that):

Full Tilt Cash game, $3/$6 No Limit, 6 players
Hand History by

SB: $288.75
BB: $126.56
UTG: $605.70
HERO (MP): $1173.25
CO: $1391.95
Button: $2681.75

SB posts Small Blind $3
BB posts Big Blind $6

Pre-flop: K K ($9)
UTG raises to $12
HERO raises to $45
CO folds
Button folds
SB raises to $288.75 and is all in
BB calls $120.56 and is all in
UTG calls $276.75
HERO raises to $1173.25 and is all in
UTG calls $316.95 and is all in

Flop: 3 T 3 ($506.25) ($498.90) (634.25)

Turn: 3 T 3 J ($506.25) ($498.90) (634.25)

River: 3 T 3 J 8 ($506.25) ($498.90) (634.25)

Showdown:
HERO shows (K K) two pair, Kings and Threes and wins $634.25
UTG shows (9 9) pair of Threes
------
HERO shows (K K) two pair, Kings and Threes and wins $498.90
UTG shows (9 9) pair of Threes
SB shows (A Q) pair of Threes
------
HERO shows (K K) two pair, Kings and Threes
UTG shows (9 9) pair of Threes
SB shows (A Q) pair of Threes
BB shows (T 3) full house, Threes full of Tens and wins $506.25 (I had to have a bad suckout b/c this started as one of TP's hands )

The single pot version would look like this (pot amount is wrong - ignore that):

Full Tilt Cash game, $3/$6 No Limit, 6 players
Hand History by

SB: $288.75
BB: $649.20
UTG: $605.70
HERO (MP): $1173.25
CO: $1391.95
Button: $2681.75

SB posts Small Blind $3
BB posts Big Blind $6

Pre-flop: K K ($9)
UTG raises to $12
HERO raises to $45
CO folds
Button folds
SB raises to $288.75 and is all in
BB folds
UTG calls $276.75
HERO raises to $1173.25 and is all in
UTG folds

Flop: 3 T 3 ($875.25)

Turn: 3 T 3 J ($875.25)

River: 3 T 3 J 8 ($875.25)

Showdown:
HERO shows (K K) two pair, Kings and Threes and wins $875.25
SB shows (A Q) pair of Threes

I'm thinking of handling it like this for consistency in the future as I add games that have hi/lo pots or for other hands that have more complex pot situations. With each showdown listed separately it seems like a nice package.

Thoughts?

It looks good to me. The only thing I would suggest is labeling the different showdowns. Like so:

...
River: 3 T 3 J 8 ($506.25) ($498.90) (634.25)

Showdown - Side Pot 2:
HERO shows (K K) two pair, Kings and Threes and wins $634.25
UTG shows (9 9) pair of Threes

Showdown - Side Pot 1:
HERO shows (K K) two pair, Kings and Threes and wins $498.90
UTG shows (9 9) pair of Threes
SB shows (A Q) pair of Threes

Showdown - Main Pot:
HERO shows (K K) two pair, Kings and Threes
UTG shows (9 9) pair of Threes
SB shows (A Q) pair of Threes
BB shows (T 3) full house, Threes full of Tens and wins $506.25

For a normal showdown, just leave it as it - "Showdown:"

;diamond; instead of ;d;
;heart; instead of ;h;
;spade; instead of ;s;

Thanks.

OK, so I just caught up on that thread - you want our converter to be able to post to 2p2 forum? I think that's a great idea - and I have another one... With the new architecture we should be able to add output to any forum we want - all we'd need is radio buttons, or maybe different convert buttons, for each forum we want to convert to. Should be doable if we know the format of the other forums.

This is easy because the new converter will have a lot more control of the output in the xsl file - much more flexible.

BTW - try code tags for stuff like this:
works like a charm...

Yes, that would be great.

And cool... who knew?
