whyd you check the river? Is there a bonus if the hand gets to showdown or something?

Guy was playing me super aggressive entire time. Whenever I'd check, he'd raise....

Whenever I showed strength he'd fold. I figured I would be able to get more out of him there (in this situation with this player)
