Default Interpoker $200k freeroll....

Have you guys heard about this? is having a $200,000 freeroll. Well, sort of. You have to play 2000 raked hands in October to qualify (more on that in a sec).

They are giving out 30 Caribbean Poker Classic Prize Packages - 10 full blown ones, and 20 "lite" ones.

I'd love to play in this, but I'm not sure if I can get the hands in. I was thinking I could just fire up 4 or 6 low limit tables and fold everything but monster hands, but then I read the fine print. There has to be $1 in rake taken from the pot in order for it to count as a raked hand. In other words, it has to be a $20 pot, so the ultra-low limits are out.

Well, maybe not. I see now that they will count .25-.99 rake as 1/4 hand. Man, that would be a lot of hands...

It's doable, but I have a lot of poker to play.

I wonder how many people will be in this thing. 300? 1000? 2000? I really have no idea.

Anyway, here are the details (copied and pasted from their site). You better get moving if you want to play...

-----
InterPoker will be running a $200,000 Free-roll on November 6th at Midday ET (5pm UK Time) - this is one tournament you do not want to miss!

We will be giving away 30 packages to the Caribbean Poker Classic tournament in St Kitts! That's 10 Main Event Packages worth $10k each AND 20 CPC LITE packages worth $5k each (see below)!

To qualify for this tournament all you have to do is play 2000 raked hands in October! Throughout October we’ll provide you with an update as to where you stand regarding the 2000 hands you need … so look out for regular email updates.

A raked hand is defined as any hand where at least $1 (or £/€, depending on the table) is taken as rake. This is equivalent to a $20 pot (InterPoker takes 5% rake). Every hand you are dealt cards and the total pot is $20 or more, a raked hand will be counted towards your bonus. You do not have to contribute to the pot for the hand to be counted as raked. Further to this, every hand you play where between $0.25 and $0.99 (or £/€, depending on the table) rake is taken will count as 1/4 (one quarter) of a raked hand.

This is a great way for you to get to the Caribbean… and with entry is being Complimentary to those who play 2000 raked hands with InterPoker in October!

This means that the Top 30 spots in the tournament will be going to St Kitts for the Caribbean Poker Classic without spending a penny!

So mark your calendars to play every day in October with InterPoker and don’t forget that November 6th at Midday ET (5pm UK Time) could be the day that you win your place in Caribbean Poker Classic for nothing!

CPC Main Event Package: CPC LITE Package: PLEASE NOTE – Tournament Vouchers may be used to buy into any poker tournament at the CPC, as well as to rebuy and/or add-on during an event where this option is available. There will be at least 3 Super-Satellite events in St Kitts with a $200+$20 buy-in that will allow you to win your seat in the $6300 main event should you choose to.

why not just play your 10/20 or 15/30 games and win some nice money on the side + get the 2000 hands and win a prize package in the freeroll.

Because I DESPISE their software and have trouble multi-tabling it. For some reason, it doesn't alert me when it's mt turn, and that causes problems... so I don't like to play multiple tables of high (for me) stakes there...

That, and even though they truly are the worst players on the planet, I always manage to get my ass kicked there.

But this is probably what I'm going to have to do. I don't think I'll be able to do more than 2 tables at a time though.
