I know better than to bet into a line of 2-1 against me, but until Kip Wells shows he can throw a competitive game I am gonna fade him reguardless of the price.

Only thing I really don't like is Wegner is behind the plate calling the game and he has a pretty big strike zone that MAY help Wells out, but I think the Pirate bullpen gets involved before the 4th inning here and Penny has not been bad this year at all. The Pirates struggles continue with no sight of improvement.

I was considering this bet as well, but like you said, Im hesistant to lay the 2.3:1 price, (and Im a nonbeliever in run line betting). Wells' only start this year has been abysmal and Penny has been fairly lights out this year, although his last outing he didn't look that good.

The Pirates have dropped 10 straight, but the Dodgers haven't had a solid 10 past games either, winning only one outside of the 2 they beat pitt.

How strong do you feel on this play?

Can't say I feel really strong about it, it's more a fade on Pittsburgh than a tremendous amount of confidence in the Dodgers. Wells is terrible, he is flat out throwing softballs up there and the Dodgers should do enough to beat him.

Tracey may give the hook to Wells early in this one so if I lose this bet it's because the Pirates come from behind as LA should be on the board early here.

Again, until Wells, or the Pirates for that matter show me they can be competitive I think the fade is in order.

Well, twice in the same game I am gonna go against my better judgement and also back up that Dodgers wager with the OVER 8.5 -110.

I figure the Dodgers are certain to score 4 runs so if they lose it will be because the Pirates put the game over the total. The Dodgers may put this over by themselves too so I got a shot at both.

This is going againts the line move as well, something I know better than to do......

This is prety amateurish of me, but I really think I got a good view of this game, I hope.
