Default Daniel N vs Sean Deeb

WSOP Europe ME on TV Sunday night, right at the end of the Day 1B episode:

(apologies, this is entirely from memory - but cards are irrelevant)

Folded to DN in the SB and he completes.

SD says something like "Here we go again, you limp, I raise, you call"

DN looks like he's waiting for the flop, realizes SD has raised and says "Oh, you meant it" (picks up chips in both hands) "I'm going to pound you back a bit" and tosses out enough chips to call from his left hand, then puts in the raise from his right.

Deeb hesitates a second, then calls a string raise on Daniel, argument ensues, floor is called, floor rules with Daniel. Deeb mopes and complains until Lon and Norman go to their closing remarks.

IMO, Daniel's intent to raise was pretty clear, despite Deeb's complaint that Daniel never used the word "raise".

OTOH, when the floor comes over and Daniel tells his side to the floorman he changes what he said to "I'm going to pound it up a bit". Oddly enough, Deeb never argues his side.

The bad thing about this is that the dealer never says a word to the floor, and it should be the dealer who initially describes the situation to the floor.

If anybody can find a clip of the show you can judge for yourself. It did not at all look to me like Daniel was shooting an angle.

There is a discussion on (I think) pocketfives, but in some accounts, Sean Deeb is mis-identified as Freddy Deeb.

I came away with the impression that Deeb is pretty clueless regarding live poker protocol, but I'd like to see the incident again.
