Default Tourney Bad Beat

I am in a small NL tourney. I have 9J. I am short stacked. The flop is 8-10-2. I bet he raises, I call. The turn is a very nice 7! So I probably have the nut straight. I raise all in. I get called. I would have doubled up and been in great shape for the rest of the tourney. It was down to 27 people. Top five paid. The guy spiked his 2 on the river for the boat. *sigh*.

I used to think this was a really bad beat, but it truely is more like bad luck. He had about 10 outs to make that call and there was alot of money in the pot. He made the call and hit one of his out. I respected his play. Told him so. And wandering away thinking of what could have been..
