Does this classify as a bad beat?
I'm holding K-3
Board shows 3-9-K-K-2 After some aggressive betting by both of us, I put him on K with a high kicker. I go all-in My opponent calls. He shows me K-9. I felt like Mike McDermott in Rounders. A full house beat by another full house. What are the odds of that? |

A bad beat is when a guy has no business in the hand and catches up to you, you were behind the whole way and caught a hand you couldn't get away from. Not to be harsh, but if you weren't in the blind you really had no business in the pot with a hand like that anyway.

A bad beat is when the statistical underdog, usually an underdog by a wide margin, gets very lucky and wins the hand. When you have a monster and someone else has a better monster and both of you caught the hand on the same card thats just bad luck for you.
